Little Tales of Big India

by Sabra PatniWant to Read

There are 3 stories in this anthology holding up 3 different lifestyles and the situations faced by the people. The first one is about Minaxi who is a daily commuter to Andheri via train and the horrendous obscenity that she has to face. The second one is about the disappearance of the sweet and bubbly flower girl, Britney. And the third one is a bit darker than the rest, it’s about molestation of a minor and the tragedy she had to face to escape it. All the 3 stories has side characters whose role is more crucial in the storyline.

The situations mentioned in those are entirely possible to occur with the common people in our country but the endings are what we would want to happen but the disappointing part is, in reality it doesn’t (the author also mentioned this in the beginning of the story, and after reading, I completely agree with her). This is a very humble book with depth. I liked all the 3 stories and I think this book is a very good read.
